My Favorite Vice

All interesting women have them, am I right? (Vices, that is). I make eating clean + organic a BIG priority, and I look closely at the ingredients behind every product that goes on my skin.... Except for one... Latisse. I'm obsessed with long, Bambi lashes. Maybe it's because my own are ginger and basically invisible, or maybe it's because, just like a tan, everyone looks better with full, lush lashes. Whatever the reason, I'm hooked. I made the fatal mistake of getting eyelash extensions a few years ago... I looked great for about 2 weeks and then I lost ALL my eyelashes! ALL! Full blown panic ensued and I immediately bought Latisse. Cue my addiction.

I always buy the bigger bottle because it seems like the better deal. It's pricey but lasts for MONTHS. A lot of people don't like the brush it comes with and replace it with an eyeliner brush, but I actually don't mind it. Plus it seems more sanitary to use a fresh one every time.

Pro tip: flip the cap upside down and squeeze one drop into it. Then dip your brush into the cap and swipe across lashes. This works way better than trying to squeeze a drop onto the brush. I also use the same brush for both eyes and have never had a problem.

As for mascara, I SWEAR by L'Oreal Voluminous mascara. I've tried all the cult favorites, but this is by far the best if you like a dramatic lash AND you can get it at any drugstore. And I alwayssss use it with a primer. I loved the Dior one for years, but then realized the Lancome one works just as well!

I was a freshman in college when I saw a girl with the best lashes I had ever seen. I asked her what mascara she used and she told me the L'Oreal + Dior primer combo. She said it's what all beauty pageant girls swear by, ha! Funny where we pick up our beauty tips. But anyway, she was right! Best combo ever, I get compliments all the time!

So there you have it, babes. I like to look the other way when I swipe a layer on my lashes. HASHTAG BALANCE :)
